Uzbekistan and Belarus strengthen trade and economic partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between Minister Laziz Kudratov and the Ambassador of Belarus to Uzbekistan, Alexander Ogorodnikov.
During the talks, the two sides discussed current issues in bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation, and coordinated the schedule of joint events for 2025.
It was noted that over the past five years, trade turnover between the two countries has nearly tripled, reaching $714 million by the end of 2024. Currently, 228 Belarusian-affiliated enterprises operate in Uzbekistan, while over 100 joint companies function in Belarus.
The parties agreed to continue efforts to expand mutual trade and advance new projects within the framework of industrial cooperation.
