Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21-22 January, a delegation from the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation visited the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus (Gosstandart) to discuss the implementation of the cooperation program for 2024-2025.

During the visit, the Belarusian delegation was headed by Elena Morgunova, Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus, while the Uzbek delegation was led by Abduraoof Abdukayumov, First Deputy Director of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation.

At the first stage of the events, the delegation members visited the “My Belarus” exhibition at the Minsk International Exhibition Center.

Additionally, a working group meeting took place to discuss ways to overcome technical barriers to mutual product supplies. The meeting was attended by Nadezhda Lazarevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, and representatives from various Belarusian enterprises.

On 22 January, the delegation visited BelGIM and BelGISS, where they familiarized themselves with their activities, metrological and testing capabilities, and discussed the process of implementing the agreements reached.

During the events, the heads of the national metrological institutes of Belarus and Uzbekistan, Alexander Kazachok and Lazizbek Saidoripov, signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in ensuring measurement unity.

At the meeting at BelGIM, the parties discussed the “Roadmap” project for implementing the agreement, including opportunities for BelGIM’s assistance in organizing calibration at the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology, training, and internships.

During the visit, the delegation members also visited the exhibition “More than 100 Belarusian Brands Under One Roof,” where they admired the diverse and attractive brands on display. The exhibition, which earned praise and admiration, featured not only trade booths but also workshops on various crafts.
