Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the 81st meeting of the Council on Railway Transport of the CIS member states, a meeting was held between Z. Narzullaev, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekistan Temir Yollari," and Valery Verenich, Head of the Belarusian Railway.

The negotiations focused on key issues such as increasing freight transportation volumes between the two countries, updating rolling stock, and developing international transport corridors. The sides agreed to conduct joint marketing studies aimed at more effective utilization of freight wagons. These studies will focus on identifying market needs and optimizing freight transport processes.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to prepare and sign a Memorandum of Understanding, which will contribute to further strengthening cooperation between the railway administrations of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
