Uzbekistan and Belarus implement more than 80 joint educational programs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Belarus are implementing more than 80 joint educational programs, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets told reporters, BelTA informs.

On 4 September, the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, visited the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank. During the meeting, issues of cooperation between our countries in the field of education were discussed. Particular attention was paid to inclusive education.

“Cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan is developing very dynamically,” said Andrei Ivanets, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus. - I would like to note that over the past four years alone, the number of students studying at our universities has grown from 400 to 5400. This is primarily a guarantee of very close interaction between the universities of our countries. Today, more than 80 joint educational programs are being implemented, according to which citizens of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan receive dual diplomas from our friendly country,” the minister said.

“Of course, the basis is the training of specialists for the real sector of the economy. A very important aspect is the training of teaching staff, - Andrey Ivanets added. - Today, within the framework of the meeting, which was held at the leading pedagogical university, we noted that our cooperation is developing not only in the field of teacher training, but also in the field of training specialists for inclusive and special education. Today BSPU is the base organization of the CIS countries, which coordinates scientific research, develops scientific and methodological support specifically for working with children with special needs of psychophysical development.

Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank is the leading institution of higher education of the national system of teacher education, providing training, retraining and advanced training of education specialists; the largest educational, scientific and methodological center capable of generating new psychological and pedagogical knowledge, disseminating and using it to improve the quality of education. At the moment, the university acts as a single educational, scientific and methodological complex, which is the largest center of the national system of continuous pedagogical education of the Republic of Belarus.

The structure of BSPU includes 9 faculties, the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining, the Institute of Psychology, the Institute of Inclusive Education, various structural divisions (Center for the Development of Information Technologies, the Center for the Development of Pedagogical Education, the Educational and Publishing Center, etc.).
