Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At a meeting with official delegations of the Tashkent and Ferghana regions, plans were announced to create two joint technology parks in the territories of Bashkortostan and Uzbekistan.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustam Muratov shared this information at a meeting on the strategic partnership between Bashkortostan, the Tashkent and Ferghana regions of Uzbekistan.

He noted that one of the technology parks will be located in Bashkiria, and the second in the Tashkent region, and they will be managed by a single company.

“These two technology parks will essentially represent a single trade and production infrastructure to strengthen cooperation between our regions,” emphasized Rustam Muratov.

Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan Margarita Bolycheva also noted the growth in trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Uzbekistan, which increased by 133.1 percent in January-February of this year.
