Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan vow to develop trade-economic relations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan stated that establishing long-term and sustainable trade-economic relations meets mutual economic interests of two countries, the joint declaration of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and the President of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliev, signed on 27 September, said.

The sides said they will continue to develop and deepen economic cooperation, realize the agreement between Governments of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan on further measures on developing trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation from 11 September 2008.

The joint declaration said that the sides will undertake additional measures for ensuring correspondence of trade-economic, science-technical, as well as bilateral interaction in other regions to potential and opportunities of dynamically developing market economies.

It was underlined that the development of direction relations between businesses entities will be encouraged through creating favourable economic, financial and legal conditions for business activity, increasing opportunities for exporting goods and services to global markets, as well as organization of business forums directed at strengthening contacts between businesses of two states.

The leaders noted that investments is one of factors for economic cooperation and they agreed to support, protect and develop investments in energy, trade, industry, machinery, agriculture, transport, communication and other regions of mutual interest.
