Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 March 2025, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, Gusein Guliyev.

During the discussions, measures for the timely implementation of existing agreements were reviewed, along with prospects for strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation, with an emphasis on the active involvement of the business communities of both countries.

Special attention was given to the implementation of previously agreed projects in areas such as urban development, tourism, and agriculture.

The parties discussed comprehensive tasks for accelerating the completion of ongoing projects and agreed on steps to support new investment initiatives.

Noting the positive dynamics in investment cooperation, the parties highlighted that there are currently 257 enterprises with Azerbaijani investments operating in Uzbekistan, including 56 joint ventures and 201 fully Azerbaijani-owned enterprises.

A consensus was reached on the substantial potential for significantly increasing these figures, and the parties agreed on plans to promote promising projects among the business communities of both Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Following the meeting, mutual measures were agreed for holding the 14th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in the first half of the year, as well as other events within the framework of Uzbek-Azerbaijani bilateral cooperation.
