Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are in talks about recognizing biometric ID cards as a valid document for border crossing, according to the Dunyo news agency.
This move is aimed at simplifying travel for citizens, strengthening bilateral ties, and expanding cooperation in migration policy.
The use of biometric ID cards will significantly streamline the border crossing process, enabling citizens of both countries to travel without the need for a foreign passport, as stated in the report.
Additionally, the adoption of this decision will contribute to the intensification of trade, economic, cultural, and tourism exchanges between the two nations.
