Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, it will be 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. This significant event marks a new phase in the development of close ties between the two countries, which today are at the level of alliance.
On 29 January 2025, a meeting was held in Tashkent between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, Bakhtiyor Saidov and Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the meeting, an important agreement was signed — the Program of Events to Celebrate Three Decades of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries. The program includes a series of activities aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation and strengthening the friendship between the peoples.
The ministers exchanged views on current cooperation issues and discussed the schedule of events for 2025. Key topics included political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian interactions, as well as the development of partnerships in new strategic areas.
