Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan is on a visit to Azerbaijan, where they discuss prospects for expanding cooperation between countries in agriculture.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov.

The main topics of the negotiations concerned the introduction of Azerbaijani varieties of hazelnuts in the Tashkent region and the creation of pomegranate and other fruit orchards in the Fizuli region of Azerbaijan.

In addition, the Uzbek delegation got acquainted with the work of the Azerbaijan Agricultural Services Agency and discussed opportunities for further cooperation.
