Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Agree to Expand Cooperation within the Middle Corridor Framework
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A working meeting took place between Abdusamat Muminov, Director General of JSC "Temiryo‘lkargo," and Igbal Guseynov, Director General of JSC "Azerbaijan Railways."
The primary focus of the talks was the development of transport cooperation within the framework of the Middle Corridor.
During the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached to expand bilateral collaboration between the two sides. Discussions included practical steps for the deployment of Temiryo‘lkargo wagons on the territory of Azerbaijan and neighboring countries, creating additional opportunities to optimize logistics chains.
Special attention was given to increasing the volume of Uzbekistan’s export-import shipments along Middle Corridor routes. Both parties expressed interest in attracting additional cargo flows through new partnership agreements and logistical solutions.
Separate negotiations were also held with Azad Gasimov, Director of ADY Express, where technical and organizational aspects of upcoming cooperation were addressed.
The initiatives agreed upon during the meetings are aimed at strengthening the region’s transit potential, improving transport efficiency, and developing sustainable international logistics routes.
