Uzbekistan and Austria strengthen interparliamentary dialogue
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 March, Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva met with Austria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, Matthias Radostich.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized that bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Austria have demonstrated steady growth in recent years. They noted that the increasing frequency of visits and negotiations at various levels contributes to strengthening cooperation.
Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields, as well as exchanging experience in science and education, including the implementation of joint educational programs for students.
Special attention was given to the upcoming visit of Andrea Eder-Gitschthaler, President of the Federal Council of Austria, to Uzbekistan and its significance in deepening interparliamentary dialogue and strengthening bilateral relations.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the keen interest of Austrian parliamentarians in participating in the 150th anniversary assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held in Tashkent from 5 to 9 April 2025.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further developing the partnership and implementing planned initiatives.
