Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriev met with Airbus International Vice President for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Jacques Garrigues.

The current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting. Aspects related to the acquisition of modern aircraft from the company for the development of civil aviation in Uzbekistan were considered.

They also discussed the possibility of increasing air transportation in the Sokh district of the Fergana region by launching flights of ATR-42 aircraft to the local airfield.

Jasurbek Choriev proposed that Airbus International organize training for students of the Tashkent State Transport University with the participation of specialists from the aircraft manufacturer to train personnel in the field of aviation.

The Ministry of Transport also proposed opening a regional Airbus center and installing specialized simulators for personnel training in Uzbekistan.

Jacques Garrigues expressed gratitude for the proposals and said that the company would study them with the participation of Airbus representatives.
