Uzbekistan and ADB discuss future cooperation initiatives

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A meeting was held between a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and representatives from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance to discuss opportunities for collaboration and future development projects.

The discussion included ADB’s Regional Director for Private Sector Development and Mission Leader, Enrico Pinali, Senior Private Sector Development Specialist Dmitry Kabrelyana, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Jasur Karshibaev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Uzsanotkurilishbank" Odilbek Isakov, and other key officials.

The main focus of the meeting was on strategic support for innovative financing, including the implementation of public-private partnership (PPP) projects, the application of green principles, and improving operational efficiency.

The ADB delegation presented ideas on various approaches and potential resources that could help achieve the country’s development goals, with an emphasis on sustainable economic growth.

Additionally, initiatives to stimulate investment through PPPs and explore new areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and ADB were discussed. Priority directions were identified, and ADB reaffirmed its commitment to supporting government initiatives through technical expertise and consulting services.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties highlighted the importance of continuing cooperation and implementing strategic decisions to improve Uzbekistan’s financial and economic system.
