Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first three months of 2025, a total of 4.4 trillion soums was allocated for mortgage loans in Uzbekistan, according to the Central Bank.

Of this amount, 3 trillion soums were provided by the Ministry of Finance, 1.1 trillion soums came from commercial banks, and over 310 billion soums were contributed by the Mortgage Refinancing Company.

As of early April, mortgage loans had been issued to 15,000 Uzbek citizens, with the vast majority of borrowers (63%) being men. Notably, 75% of all mortgage loans were used to purchase newly built housing.

As of 1 April, the total outstanding amount of mortgage loans stood at 70.1 trillion soums.
