The airline added that it airplanes conducted 17,705 flights in January-September 2014, which decreased by 843 flights compared to the same period of 2013.
Uzbekistan Airways transported 616,500 passengers to non-CIS states in nine months of 2014, which fell by 2% year-on-year. This is connected with decrease of passenger transportation to Paris, Riga and Tokyo, as well as closure of flight to Geneva.
The passenger transportation decreased by 5.7% to 422,300 people in internal flights and 4.9% to 940,000 people in CIS flights. The fall of passenger transportation in CIS is connected with closure of two airports in Ukraine (Kiev and Simferopol) and fall of transportation to Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Min-Vodi, Kaliningrad, Tyumen and Krasnodar.
At the same time, the airline increase cargo transportation by 7.1% - to 32,000 tonnes of freight, including mail and paid luggage. The cargo flights rose by 17.6% year-on-year to non-CIS states, 22.4% - to CIS states and 13.4% within the country.
