Uzbekistan Airways to shift to winter navigation from 30 October
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), national airline of Uzbekistan, will shift to winter navigation from 30 October 2011.

Winter navigation has been developed by the Commercial Department and other divisions of the airline. The frequency of flights will be slightly changed compared to the previous winter navigation, but frequency of majority flights will remain same.

The airline said that Uzbekistan Airways will carry out separate flight from Tashkent to Riga, which will be conducted on Thursdays in November and Fridays in December. The airline will use Boeing-757 aircrafts for this flight.

It is planned to fly to Delhi four times a week, while the airline is working on launch of the fifth. Flight to Seoul will be shifted from Thursday to Wednesday. Uzbekistan Airways will fly to Japan on Thursday, but from 1 February 2012 the flights will be shifted to Wednesday.

Flights to Dubai and Sharjah will have same schedule. The airline will fly to Kuala Lumpur on Mondays, Thursday and Saturdays.

Uzbekistan Airways is introducing additional flights to the CIS countries. From January 2012, the airline will fly from Karshi to Saint Petersburg and vice-versa on Sundays from January 2012. The airline will add the fourth frequency from Bukhara to Moscow on Mondays. The airline will use A320 aircrafts to this flight.

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari will conduct flight from Tashkent to Mineralniyi Vody without stopover at Urgench Airport with the A320 aircraft. Other flights to the CIS states will not e changed.

The airline said that schedule of internal flights are not changed. But, the flights to Nukus will be rescheduled to Urgench as Nukus Airport is closed for modernization of runway. Due to reconstruction of terminal at Navoi International Airpoert, the flights Tashkent-Navoi-Saint Petersburg will be conducted through Qarshi and flights Tashkent-Navoi-Moscow – through Bukhara.

New winter schedule will be effective till 24 March 2012.
