Uzbekistan Airways to open new flights between Tashkent and Riga

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), national airline of Uzbekistan, will open new flights on route Tashkent-Riga-Tashkent from 24 December 2009, representatives of the Uzbek airline in Latvia Aziz Mahamadaminov said.

Aziz Mahamadaminov said the flights will be carried out once in two weeks and it will be linked with some cities of the Southern-Eastern Asian region.

He said currently four flights link Tashkent and Riga, two of which is carried out by the Uzbek airline, The Baltic Course reported.

Since 2004, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari has been carrying out flights on route Tashkent-Riga-New York. airBaltic conducts two flights between Riga and Tashkent.
