A crew led by captain Valeriy Tyan, who currently the director-general of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, carried out flight to New York, landing to John F. Kennedy International Airport. The airline noted that several months were spent before launch of new flight to New York.
The Uzbek airline noted that Tashkent and Moscow were only cities, which were lined with New York, since 2014. Last year, flight linked Baku and New York.
There are large number of airlines in Russia and the CIS, but only four of them, including Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, have right to carry out flights between countries of former Soviet Union and North America.
It is worth to mention that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari also helping to meet demands of Baltic states, carrying out two direct flights from Riga to New York.
