Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In an effort to further develop tourism cooperation between Uzbekistan and India, Uzbekistan Airways will launch a new direct flight on the route Tashkent-Goa-Tashkent starting on 27 October 2024.
During a presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential held in Goa, representatives from tourism agencies of both countries were introduced to the results of ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, including transformations in the tourism sector, infrastructure modernization, and the creation of an attractive environment for both foreign and domestic tourists.
Particular emphasis was placed on the development of various types of tourism in Uzbekistan, such as family, youth, eco, sports, mountain-medical, culinary, and adventure tourism.
The new flight will operate twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays, providing tourists from Uzbekistan and neighboring countries with greater convenience for relaxing on the beaches of Goa. At the same time, it will allow tourists from Goa and adjacent states to travel directly to Uzbekistan.
The launch of this new route will be an important step in strengthening tourism ties between the two countries, facilitating an increase in mutual tourist flows.
