Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - On 17 July, the Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan K. Yuldashev met with the Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Afghanistan, H. Hedayati.
During the conversation, the parties noted the great potential of bilateral cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies and exchanged views on the prospects for further expanding the partnership in priority areas of mutual interest.
In particular, the parties expressed support for expanding the volume of mutual telecommunications services between telecom operators of the two countries, primarily the services of access to the international Internet network and high-speed transit channels.
Special attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation in the field of personnel training and advanced training of IT specialists on the basis of specialized universities of Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to create a joint working group to continue negotiations at the expert level.
