Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on measures to adopt a single modern school uniform for state general education institutions, Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov said on his Facebook page.

The document is aimed at improving the culture of wearing clothes and discipline, creating conditions for protecting the health of students, as well as educating the spiritually and physically developed generation.

The decree approved forms for pupils of the 1st-6th and 7th-11th grades. According to the document, in the 2018-2019 school year, students will attend the school in an approved form on a voluntary basis. From the academic year 2019-2020, a new form will be mandatory for all.

The association "Uztukimachiliksanoat" was instructed to form a list of enterprises, which will produce the school uniform.

At the same time, to create convenience for parents, the Government instructed banks to issue short-term consumer loans. Loans will be granted for a period of at least six months. The interest rate on loans will not exceed the refinancing rate of the Central Bank (now - 14% per annum).
