This was announced at the conference “Development of tourism: current state and perspectives”, which was organized by fraction of Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

Within the programmes, it is planned to construct 77 hotels and similar places by the end of 2012 and purchase 53 buses and micro-buses to serve tourists. Some 90 tourism objects and 70 service points will be created.

The programme envisages restoration of historic-architecture monuments, reconstruction of existing hotels and other measures, directed at increasing tourists inflow and creating favourable conditions for them.

MPs of Milliy Tiklanish noted that it is important to improve legislative base of tourism sector as the law “On tourism” was adopted in 1999. Adoption of new edition of the law will become foundation for sustainable development of tourism.

During the meeting, the participants discussed development of internal tourism, prepare cadres for tourism sector, as well as use internet technologies in the sector.
