The resolution said that the realization of the programme on decreasing sickness rate and preventing tuberculosis (TB) allowed to cut TB sickness rate by 38% and TB death rate by 45% in last five years.

The document noted that despite achievements, there are many issues, which should be addressed to improve prevention level and quality of medical service at anti-TB establishments. Majority of them should be fully repaired and equipped.

The resolution said that many establishments do not have tuberculosis specialists and others. The document said that the new programme was adopted to improve work of preventive and treatment of TB, strengthening of material-technical base and cadre potential of anti-TB service, improving activity of anti-TB institutions.

The resolution also approved main parameters of new construction, reconstruction and capital repair of anti-TB establishments for 2011-2015 and main parameters of equipment of TB institutes with modern equipment for 2011-2015.

The document said that employees of anti-TB establishments will receive 50% additional payment to their salaries due to danger to their health and hard working conditions.
