Uzbekistan adopts measures to ensure businesses freedom
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree “On measures on further cardinal improving business environment and producing more freedom to entrepreneurship” on 18 July 2012.

The document is directed at improving business environment, creating favouable conditions for doing business, decreasing, simplifying and improving trasperency of permission procedures, etc.

Uzbek President determined important tasks on deepening market reforms and liberating economy.

Among them are improving business climate in Uzbekistan, creating favourable conditions for business development, increasing share of private entrepreneurship in development of economy through development of legislation, decreasing and simplifying registration and permission procedures, improving tax and customs administration, reporting system.

Uzbek leader said that the country should also introduce international criteria for doing business and achieving high figures in assessments of international financial-economic and rating agencies.

President Islam Karimov said that there is also need to deepen competition in internal market, create single conditions for doing business and access to raw materials and loan resources, participation on public procurement and tenders.

Among the tasks are also to introduce electronic system of submitting statistic, financial and tax reports, payment of taxes and mandatory payments, conduct registration and permission procedures, allocation of land areas, etc.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov approved a programme of complex measures on improving legislation and implementation of measures, directed at further improving business environment and providing more freedom to businesses.

From 1 January 2013, Uzbekistan will set order, in line with which businesses can pay taxes and other mandatory payments with use of internet banking system, declare goods at customs registration in electronic form, register rights to real estate via one-stop-shop, submit applications to economic courts in electronic form.

Commercial banks recommended to decrease tariffs for internet banking services by at least 20%.
