The document, which entered into force on 1 October 2009, determines legal, economic and social bases for fire safety and regulates relations in the sphere.

The law sets authorities of the state and other bodies in fire safety, rights and obligations of legal entities and organization in this sphere, etc. It also regulates issues of ensuring, developing and realization of fire safety measures, rendering works and services in the sphere, and others. It also sets single phone number - 01 - to receive fire alerts in Uzbekistan.
