Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has adopted a Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies until 2030.

The strategy was approved by a presidential resolution on 14 October 2024.

The document outlines target indicators to be achieved in the field of artificial intelligence by 2030.

Specifically, the plan aims to increase the volume of AI-based software products and services to US$1.5 billion.

It is also proposed to raise the share of services provided through the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services (my.gov.uz) using AI technologies to 10 percent.

Uzbekistan intends to establish 10 scientific laboratories focused on AI development and launch high-performance computing servers.

One of the key objectives is for the country to enter the top 50 in the Government AI Readiness Index.

By 1 September 2025, a "big data" database is planned to be created to support projects and research with necessary data, while ensuring compliance with information security measures in accordance with legal requirements.

Furthermore, by 1 May 2026, computational capacities for data processing will be launched as part of AI technology implementation projects.
