Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Minister of Transport M. Omarov met with representatives of the Asian Development Bank. 

During the meeting, issues related to the financing of the “Electromobility Program” of the Green Climate Fund were discussed, the press service of the Ministry of Transport reports.

The proposed amount of funding for this program, the implementation of which is envisaged in seven countries, including Uzbekistan, is US$170 million.

This program, aimed at removing obstacles to the popularization of commercial electric vehicles, includes 4 areas that support government policies focused on the deployment of electric bus fleets and supporting infrastructure, improving the public transport system and ensuring its stability, as well as the development of electric vehicles.
