Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 April, Deputy Minister of Transport Ilkhomjon Abdugafarov met with the General Director of the Transport Sector of the Asian Development Bank Hiroaki Yamaguchi.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current status of projects being implemented in our country with the participation of the bank, as well as issues related to the development of new projects.

Hiroaki Yamaguchi specifically noted that the portfolio of projects planned to be implemented in the transport sector today is very broad. In this regard, he announced that the bank has allocated two representatives to carry out permanent activities in the city of Tashkent for the implementation of projects in our country.

During the discussion, opinions were exchanged on the implementation of joint projects for the digitalization of the transport industry, the establishment of a situational center, and the management of toll roads.

Additionally, representatives of Uzbekistan Airports gave presentations on the development and use of regional airports in the country based on public-private partnerships.
