Uzbekistan abolish practice of issuing licenses to banks for conducting operations in foreign currency

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On priority measures for liberalization of monetary policy” on 2 September 2017.

The decree said that the practice of issuing licenses to commercial banks for conducting operations in foreign currency is abolished in Uzbekistan.

Operations of commercial banks with foreign currency are carried out on the basis of a license for right to conduct banking activities, the document said.
