Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Representatives of the Uzbekinvest National Export-Import Insurance Company took part in the next meeting of the Berne Union, which has been a member since 1997, from 20 to 24 October.

The Berne Union is the International Union of Export Credit and Investment Insurers and unites export credit agencies of countries around the world. At the regular meetings of the Berne Union, organizational, underwriting and technical issues are discussed, as well as prospects for the development of export credit insurance and insurance features for foreign economic entities and commercial banks.

Membership in the Berne Union undoubtedly contributes to the development of the activities of Uzbekinvest in the international market and helps to establish the necessary contacts with other members of the international insurance community. So, within the framework of the meeting, a meeting was held between the leadership of the National Export-Import Insurance Company “Uzbekinvest” and the Italian export credit agency SACE. During the meeting, negotiations were held and issues on promising areas of cooperation were discussed.

Following the results of the negotiations, a cooperation agreement was signed between NKEIS Uzbekinvest and ECA Italy SACE. This agreement opens up great opportunities for cooperation in providing insurance coverage to exporters of the two countries, including in the field of co-insurance and reinsurance of joint Uzbek-Italian enterprises in third countries, on the ongoing implementation of mutual exchange of information on countries, enterprises and banks, and providing advice and facilitating operational work.
