Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekinvest collected insurance premiums worth 137 billion soums in January-September 2018, which is 2.5 times higher than the same period in 2017.

The volume of premiums on voluntary types of insurance amounted to 114.2 billion soums, which grew by 2.7 times year-on-year.

The size of the commitments under the concluded insurance contracts reached 73 trillion soums, equivalent to US$9 billion

Prompt consideration of customer requests, timely coverage of damage to property and health, is one of the important activities of Uzbekinvest. During the first 9 months of 2018, about 7,400 insurance claims were considered, for which more than 26.5 billion soums were paid.

In 2018, as a result of implemented measures aimed at a radical improvement of work with individuals and active involvement of the urban and rural population in the system of voluntary and compulsory insurance, insurance premiums of 19 billion soums were collected in this segment, which ensured an increase of 2, 3 times, compared with the same period last year. At the same time, a number of measures were taken to radically develop insurance activities in the regions, especially in remote rural areas.

Regional branches secured the collection of insurance premiums in the amount of 52 billion soums, which is 1.5 times more than the figure for the same period in 2017, the collection of insurance premiums for insurance branches of the district level was 25 billion soums, with an increase of 1.7 times.
