Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekenergotamir JSC has reached a number of agreements on the development of the electric power industry of Uzbekistan in cooperation with large electric power companies in China such as State Grid, CNTIC and China XD.

In particular, within the framework of the agreement between Uzbekenergotamir JSC and China Electric Power Equipment and Technology Co. Ltd., part of the world-famous State Grid corporation of China, envisages joint work in a number of regions of our country on the construction and modernization of high-voltage electrical networks, construction and commissioning of new substations. Based on the results of the envisaged work, it will be possible to introduce modern digital technologies into the system of high-voltage electrical networks of Uzbekistan and create new jobs, reports the press center of Uzbekenergotamir JSC.

According to the agreement reached with the China National Technical Import and Export Corporation (CNTIC), additional capacities will be created for the population of Tashkent and enterprises in the capital’s economic sectors. In order to meet the capital’s needs for electrical and thermal energy, new, modern and energy-efficient cogeneration capacities will be introduced in Mirabad, Mirzo Ulugbek, Shaykhontokhur, Yunusabad, Yashnabad and Uchtepa districts of the capital.

With Xian XD Electric Engineering Company Limited of China XD Electric Co. Ltd. and Uzbekenergotamir JSC also entered into an agreement on localizing the production of highly efficient and modern import-substituting power plants for the modernization and reconstruction of power plants in our country.

Another important part of the negotiations is the issue of improving the qualifications and professional skills of young specialists and employees of Uzbekenergotamir JSC and their participation together with Chinese specialists in construction and commissioning work. Through joint action, an opportunity is created to develop the knowledge and experience of our youth in operating and working with internationally recognized electrical devices.
