Uzbekenergo supplies 21.3 bn K.W.H electricity to consumers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State joint stock company “Uzbekenergo” supplied 21.3 billion K.W.H electricity to consumers in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2012, the press service of the company said.

According to the company, the company supplied 4.3 million gigacalories of heating energy to consumers in the reporting period.

In the first quarter of 2012, the export forecast was executed with 47.5% surplus. The company supplied electricity to neighboring state and provided services for designing and construction works.

In January-June 2012, Uzbekenergo used 548.6 billion soums of capital investments within investment projects. In the first half of 2012, six objects have been commissioned.

The enterprise also conducted work on introduction of modern electricity meters. The company installed 206,700 units of three-phase and over 118,900 units of one-phase electricity meters at legal entities and 12,400 units of three-phase and 2.394 million one-phase electricity meters at domestic consumers.

Uzbekenergo signed 437 agreements for 171.4 billion soums within the Fifth International Fair and Cooperation Exchange. In the first quarter, it received products for 100.5 billion soums.

The company participated at the industrial stage of the International Fair and Cooperation Exchange in June and inked 119 agreements for 30.3 billion soums.

Uzbekistan decreased electricity production by 1.7% year-on-year to 26.101 billion K.W.H. in January-June 2012.

Uzbekenergo cut electricity production by 1.5% to 25.852 billion K.W.H. in January-June 2012. The volume of heat energy production rose by 0.5% to 10.026 million gigacalories.
