Uzbekenergo supplies 21.07bn kilowatt-hour electricity to consumers in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekenergo (Uzbek Energy) state joint stock company is ensuring sustainable functioning of energy enterprises of Uzbekistan and fulfillment of production forecasts for 2010.

In the first half of 2010, the volume of goods production in the energy industry rose by 2.3%. The enterprises supplied 21.07 billion kilowatt-hour electricity to consumers in Uzbekistan in the reporting period (4.1%). The industry supplied 4.2 million gigacalories of thermal energy. In the first half of 2010, the exports of the industry were fulfilled by 113.5%. The industry supplied power energy to neighbouring states on direct agreements.

The task on production of localized goods based on local raw materials at the enterprises of Uzbekenego was fulfilled by 37.1%.

Uzbekenergo said it is working on perspective investment projects, including with attracting foreign investments of international financial institutes and foreign partners.

The company is continue to implement project on automated system on control and accounting electricity in energy system of Uzbekistan (1 stage). The company used 3.9 billion soums of own resources within the project in January-June 2010.

Currently, 104,200 electronic meters were installed at the enterprises, while 908,187 new meters were installed at domestic sector.
