UzbekEnergo has signed two contracts with Zaporojtransformator (ZTR) for over US$13 million, the company’s press service said.

According to the contract terms, Ukrainian transformer producer, ZTR, will deliver four 167 MBA (500 kilovolt) autotransformers and six ROM-60000/500-U1 reactors for the Uzbekistanskaya Substation and Novo-Angrenskaya thermal power plants, as well as one reactor TRDZN-63000/220-U1 for Karshi Substation.
Apart from this, bids were conducted by the Islamic Development Bank for the delivery of three 60 MBA reactors of the Sogdiana substation. The Commission and a group of Iranian consultants awarded the tender to ZTR. The decision is now in the process of approval by the IDB. "These results should become a breakthrough event for the ZTR in the market of Uzbekistan, after some years of slackening", ZTR’s commercial department said.

ZTR is one of the largest producers of transformers in the world, with customers in 83 countries. The Enterprise producers power transformers, electrical reactors, heavy-current distributors, transformer monitoring and control systems.
