Development of intra- and inter-industrial cooperation, projects realization within the Program of Localization have a particular significance for such a strategically important industry as energy, i.e. the larger the volume of importing spare parts, equipment, details, components, different materials, the larger the dependence from foreign supplies, this may affect positive functioning of energy system of the country.
Realizing this Uzbekenergo delivers a great work on import replacement both inside the company and in cooperation with enterprises of other sectors. In particular, in the framework of intra-industrial cooperation the production of over 80 products, which before were imported, was put in order. Besides development of intra-industrial cooperation Uzbekenergo actively collaborates with 35 leading local enterprises and small businesses. For example, it is expected that only this year OJSC Andijanmash will produce goods for energy sector at the amount of US$1.8 million. The cost of the same product imported from Russia at the same volume is about US$9.5 million. In other words inter-industrial cooperation in this case will allow saving currency at the amount of US$7.6 million, which can be spent to meet other important needs of energy sector of the country.
In the course of fairy and cooperation exchange many local enterprises and organizations showed interest in collaboration with energy sector. Uzbekenergo signed 133 agreements at the amount of more than 53.2 billion soums (over US$39 million).
In the framework of the National Industrial Fairy and Cooperation Exchange, the presentation of technical and technological opportunities of energy sector was held on 29 October. According to the results of the National Industrial Fairy and Cooperation Exchange Uzbekenergo received three certificates in four nominations, including the best stand, active assistance and development of inter-cooperation relations, best organization and sponsorship.
As earlier reported, 1,440 agreements and contracts worth 1.4 trillion soums (over US$1 billion) in total have been signed during the fair.
