Power facility, which will be located at Charvak water reservoir (Tashkent region), was designed and anemometer tower with the height of 40 meters were constructed. Tools and equipments were installed and the work on metering wind parameters is underway.
Launch of the facility will allow annually produce additional electricity at the volume of 2.3 million kilowatt per hour. The project help to same 700,000 cubic meters of gas per annum.
Average annual wind speed in this region makes up 4.3 meters per second and 6.6-7.1 meters in the winter period, which will ensure sustainable work of the power generator, UzA reported.
Uzbekenergo is also planning to construct similar wind power generators in Karakalpakstan Republic, Navoi region, Bukhara region, Tashkent region and Kashkadarya region, where speed of wind makes up 4 and over meters per second.
