Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives from the Uzbekcosmos agency, which is actively developing international cooperation in space research and technology, met with specialists from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), an organization with over 150 years of experience.
During the meeting, the primary focus was on implementing joint projects for analyzing satellite imagery in various fields, such as geology, water resource management, and agriculture. The discussion also included experience exchange and capacity building in these areas.
It is noteworthy that Uzbekcosmos has established strong partnership relations with USGS, with the first meeting between the two organizations taking place in April 2024.
Founded in 1879 in Virginia, USA, USGS primarily focuses on analyzing geological satellite imagery and scientific study of Earth. USGS also manages the Landsat satellite series.
