Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 5 September, a meeting was held between the Uzbekcosmos Agency and representatives of the Israeli company Israel Aerospace Industries Yevgeny Sheinin (Senior Director for Business Development in Central Asia) and Niko Adamsky (Project Manager of the IAI space division) .

During the meeting, representatives of the Israeli company made presentations on satellites for remote sensing of the earth, telecommunications satellites, as well as a constellation of small satellites.

In particular, representatives of the Uzbekcosmos Agency were acquainted with the capabilities of Israel Aerospace Industries in such areas as deep space research, satellite communications, earth sounding, new space and satellite constellations, as well as ground stations. At the same time, special attention was paid to such products as the small telecommunications satellite MCS, satellites for remote sensing of the earth OptSat3000 and OptSat500.

The issues of training and retraining of personnel, as well as technology transfer, in particular, studying the capabilities of the IAI Space Academy, were also discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to make joint efforts in formulating proposals for the further development of the space and ground infrastructure of Uzbekistan, as well as to hold seminars and round tables for industry departments on the capabilities of satellite technologies in solving their problems.
