Uzbek young pianists participates in Moscow contest
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Laureate of “Yangi Avlod-2010” Children Creativity Festival Darya Kiseleva participated at the Thirteenth International television competition of young musicians “Shelkunchik” (Nutcracker), which was held in Moscow, Russia, in early November.

The contest was attended by 48 young musicians from Uzbekistan, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Norway, Poland, Russia, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France and South Korea. Darya Kiseleva participated in the contest in nomination “Piano” at the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia and Fund Forum.

International television contest of young musicians “Shelkunchik” has been held since 2000 at the Russian K channel. The contest is held in three directions – piano, string musical instruments, wind and percussion instruments. Some 48 musicians under the age of 15 are participating at the event each year.

Ferghana-born Darya Kiseleva, 13, performed Franz Joseph Haydn’s “Concert for piano with orchestra D major” and she impressed jury with her perfromace.
