The detainee is Kuchkor Kubayev, 40, who is suspected of human trafficking. He illegally trafficked people from the Samarkand region to Russia for further forced labour at construction sites. After the shift people actually received no money instead of the promised salary. The investigators are looking for Kubayev’s victims.

The suspect is being kept at the detention centre. He will be extradited to Uzbekistan. If his guilt is proved in Uzbekistan, he is facing from five to eight years in prison under Article 135 of the Uzbek Criminal Code.
