Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 April, a delegation led by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, held a meeting with businessmen from the Balkh province of Afghanistan.

During the event, issues related to trade and economic cooperation were discussed with leading entrepreneurs in the region and those responsible for relevant sectors.

The Afghan side was represented by Khodja Mirwais Ahmadi, Chairman of the Association of Pharmaceutical Sellers, Zainullo Rais, Advisor for International Relations at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Balkh, Muhammad Turabi, Member of the Chamber Council and prominent entrepreneur, Sanoizoda Rais, Chairman of the Northern Chamber of Industry and Geology, and Zainullo Rais, Chairman of the Chamber of Agriculture.

The discussions focused on new areas of bilateral cooperation, specifically opportunities in the pharmaceutical, agricultural, construction, and industrial sectors.

At the end of the meeting, the Afghan business representatives were invited to the "Made in Uzbekistan" exhibition and fair, which will take place on 8 April in Termez.

This event will provide them with an opportunity to establish direct contacts with Uzbek manufacturers and foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
