The event was also attended by deputy state advisor of Ukrainian President on international issues Baluta, chairperson of the State agency of Ukraine on tourism and resorts Yelena Shapalova, Advisor of Prime Minister of Ukraine Tolstouhov, representatives of tour business and others. Uzbek envoy to Ukraine Alisher Abdualiev welcomed the guest.
Yelena Shapalova and Alisher Abdualiev opened a TV screen near Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ukraine, which will show video about tourism sights of Uzbekistan on daily basis. Afterwards, the participants were briefed about tourism potential of Uzbekistan and watched documentary film.
Yelena Shapalova expressed gratitude for chance to familiarize with tourism potential of Uzbekistan. She added that Uzbekistan and Ukraine had chance to develop partnership in tourism.
Within the event, the APTA signed an agreement of cooperation with the Association of Tour Business Leaders of Ukraine (ALTU). APTA chairperson Otabek Jalilov said that the document will give impulse for development of joint mutual beneficial activity among representatives of tourism business of Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
Chairperson of ALTU Olexandr Novikovsky expressed readiness to develop cooperation and added that the ALTU plans to spread information about tours to Uzbekistan among its members. He expressed in RoadShow, a project of APTA, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Otabek Jalilov invited the ALTU to participate at Tashkent international tourism fair. The tourism sector of Uzbekistan accepted invitation with interest and some companies already expressed interest to participate at the event.
During the event, the participants had chance to familiarize with Uzbek songs and dances, as well as taste Uzbek national cuisine.
Master from Namangan Latipjon Ahmadjonov showed process of production of han atlas at equipment, which was brought to Ukraine for the event.
