Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 January, Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov held a meeting with Andi Aranitasi, the Head of the office of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of current investment projects aimed at developing the country’s transport infrastructure and the prospects for further cooperation. Specifically, they addressed the procurement phases for electric buses in Samarkand, Namangan, and Nukus to increase the share of "green" public transport, as well as the reconstruction of the 4R156 highway.

The parties also discussed the digitalization of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yullari" (Uzbekistan Railways). At the conclusion of the meeting, they agreed to expedite the work on implementing the discussed projects.
