Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov met with the newly appointed German Ambassador to Uzbekistan Manfred Huterer.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the achievements and future prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Ilkhom Makhkamov emphasized that active engagement is currently underway with various German transport companies, including Rhenus, Deutsche Bahn, DB Engineering & Consulting, DB Schenker, and others.

The Minister also expressed hope for the prompt resumption of Lufthansa flights to Uzbekistan, which would further strengthen transportation links between the countries.

The parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation in transportation and logistics and expressed interest in implementing new joint projects.

At the end of the meeting, Ilkhom Makhkamov wished Manfred Huterer success in his new role and confirmed the commitment to further developing partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Germany in the transportation sector.
