Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov arrived in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, to participate in the session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

During the meeting, which was held in atmosphere of understanding and mutual respect, the sides discussed current state and perspectives of developing relations between two states, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan said.

Tajik Foreign Minister attracted attention of his Uzbek counterpart to boost political dialogue and develop cooperation in transport, energy, culture, border interactions and other spheres, which meet requirements of good neighborhood principles.

The Tajik side underlined that establishment of cooperation in these spheres will help to improve level of cooperation and solve existing issues in bilateral relations.

The side exchanged opinion on regional and international issues, as well as agenda of the SCO Foreign Ministers summit, as well as interaction of two states within the organization.

The Tajik side expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for its support to the presidency of Tajikistan in the SCO.
