On 31 May, the ceremony of presentation of grants to scholars, post-graduates, magistrates and students at the higher educational institutions of the country was held at the Germany Embassy in Tashkent.

According to Uzreport.com, on the outcomes of the annual selection by the German office of academic exchanges DAAD this year 85 Uzbek students have embraced the opportunity to study in Germany.

The director of the DAAD regional department Manja Hussner said in the interview: "As a whole, the number of grants to the representatives of Uzbekistan actually goes well and on equal terms. But for over the last time we can observe the small tendency for the growth, that is to say, this year we have received much more scholarships to grant for the scientific researches and the students. And we hope very much that such tendency will also be in place in the future".
