Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Jizzakh entrepreneurs Ilhom Juraev and Mirazim Turgunbaev reached the final of the Entrepreneurship World Cup. 102 938 startups from 187 countries took part in the qualifying rounds. Only 10 teams reached the final. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Innovation.

It is gratifying that among these 10 startups, there are also our compatriots. Now they will take part in the super final of the World Entrepreneurship Championship, which will be held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on 12 November 2019.

In Uzbekistan, the national selection stage was carried out by the Ministry of Innovative Development. Of the 130 applications received, 13 startup projects received a ticket to the final of the national qualifying stage.

As part of the EWC-Tashkent 2019 seminar, which was held on 30-31 May, 13 teams presented their ideas and business plans to a jury of free international and domestic experts. The founders of the Agroport Jizzakh enterprise, Ilkhom Juraev and Mirazim Turgunbaev, having won the final of the World Championship in Entrepreneurship, went to the next stage - Acceleration-2.

Within 6 weeks, GEN representatives conducted an Online Acceleration Program for selected teams from around the world. Teams from all over the world performed tasks such as drawing up a business plan, interviews with potential clients during the trainings. Online acceleration was implemented on the GEN platform.

Uzbek entrepreneurs intend to launch biotechnological processing of cotton stalks, the number of which as a result of cotton collection reaches an average of 2-3 million tons per year. Thanks to such processing, it is possible to obtain important products applicable in the field of national economy and medicine, such as lignin, levulinic acid, vanillin, lilac aldehyde, medical enterosorbents Polyphepan, Lactofiltrum, Ecofiltrum, plasticizer for cement and concrete, granular protein- Vitamin feed supplement (bio-feed). With this innovative technology, 80% of pulp processing is achieved.

The finalists of the championship got the opportunity to take part in the international super finals of the World Entrepreneurship Championship, which will be held in Riyadh on 12 November 2019.
