Mr Blaž Kavčič arrived in Tashkent to participate in international conference “Constitution and high legal culture – foundation of democratic society”.

The sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of deepening the Uzbek-Slovenian dialogue, as well as within the cooperation between Uzbekistan and European Union.

It was underlined that both sides pay attention to strengthening long-term and mutual-beneficial cooperation in all directions of mutual interest.

The sides also considered issues on intensification of inter-parliamentary relations, implementation of proposals on creation of bilateral cooperation institutes, including in trade-economic, investment and culture-humanitarian spheres.

It was noted that current the most favourable trade regime between two states allows to boost mutual trade and diversify it through increasing number of supplied goods and services.

The officials of Uzbekistan and Slovenia also exchange opinion on some international and regional issues.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Uzbekistan (with residence in Moscow) Ada Filip-Slivnik also attended the event.
